Okay, I admit that I’m a total fairweather cycling fan.  I hadn’t paid any attention at all to Le Tour this year until Floyd Landis came charging back from the abyss to make up the almost 8 minutes he’d lost the day before.  I believe that outshines any single ride Lance Armstrong ever made, especially since Landis is riding on a bum hip that is so bad, he’s having it replaced after the tour (think Bo Jackson).

Anyway, Landis is now poised to win Le Tour tomorrow, barring unforseen disaster.  This would extend the U.S. reign to 8 consecutive years.  Amazing.
