Why, it's the sound of Paris Hilton having a bad day:

• Paris's inheritance cut*
• Simple Life gets axed – viewership was down 20%
• Her Hollywood Hills home is on the market

So in one fell swoop, she's penniless, jobless, and homeless.  It's almost enough to make you feel bad for the poor girl.  Almost.  Then you have to remember that she brought all of this upon herself.  Kind of sad, really.

* I don't know Barron Hilton, but my gut instinct tells me that he's only bluffing about cutting off her inheritance.  The article makes it sound like he's cutting off the entire family just because of Paris.  I highly doubt that, but, then again, giving one's entire fortune to charity wouldn't be unprecedented.

• I think I might print one of these out and hang it above the urinal at work.
  Why, you ask?  Oh, I don't know, just because.

And, apparently, a pretty nasty one, too.

The good thing is that we know what caused him to almost die.  The bad thing is that we have no clue how he got infected in the first place.  It could have been anything.

He seems to be suffering no ill effects.  He has a checkup with his regular vet this afternoon, so hopefully all is well in Homerland.  I'd hate for him to kick the bucket before his namesake's movie is released!

Sorry about the lack of links yesterday.  I was busy finishing up HP7.  I don't want to drop any spoilers, so I'll just say that it was a great book!
