One of the guys on my team at work is being forcefully happily transitioned to another team. As a small send off, we went to a team lunch at the place of his choosing. He chose a place I had never eaten before, called Eastern Max Buffet.
I think I can sum it up best thusly:
It's like HomeTown Buffet, but Asian, and without the suck.
If you're ever in Roseville and looking for a good mix of Asian grub, stop on by. $8.50 all you can eat at lunch.
P.s. – another advantage over HTB: EMB does NOT reek of old people.

Edwards exits the presidential race
He had my vote. There was so much I liked about him as a candidate.
Oh well; life goes on. Back to candidate evaluation.

Twitter, you blow goats.
(This is something I'd normally post on Twitter, but, oh, look it's down. AGAIN. Seriously.)

Flickr and the Library of Congress have teamed up to host part of the LoC's image collection online.
The result? Gems like this one:

And this one:

You can view many more Library of Congress images on Flickr, and you can read more about the Commons project. The LoC also has a searchable online catalog of photos.
I'm a sucker for old photographs, so I'm in hog heaven right now.

Last Monday was Troy's first day back to school after having spent two relaxing weeks at home with Kelly. His teachers said that he only took one 1/2-hour nap the whole day; he had been taking a 2-hour nap in the morning and a 2-hour nap during the afternoon while he was at home.
When we got him home, we could tell he was tired. Normally after his evening bottle, he's still got quite a bit of steam left in him, but that night, he was plumb tuckered out. As soon as he finished his bottle, the thumb went straight into the mouth, and he was out like a light:

I'm a big fan of Guy Fieri's new show on Food Network, called Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Basically, he visits these obscure diners across the country and samples their famous dishes, all while rapping with the chef to see how the food is prepared. Talk about the raddest job in the world.
FN has compiled a list of all the hotspots. I am preserving it here for my own sake, because, let's face it – as much as I like the show, I know it won't be around forever.
So, without further ado, here is the list, categorized by episode. (Future todo: order by location)
